Diane Dufresne Sings for the Foundation

On June 19, Diane Dufresne’s spectacular show PLURIELLE marked the closing of the Foundation’s 2007 Fundraising Campaign.

On that special evening, Diane Dufresne, formidable ambassadress of Québec’s culture on the international scene, has performed especially for the cause of children who are victims of maltreatment and sexual abuse.

Diane Dufresne romantic, Diane Dufresne nostalgic, Diane Dufresne and the world of Kurt Weill, Diane Dufresne and the environment. Such were the themes depicted in PLURIELLE, a creation in four parts staging six wonderful musicians, magnificent lightings, vivid projections of images, eccentric and extravagant costumes, along with the sublime musical arrangements of Alain Sauvageau. To top it all, the warm and dramatic voice of Diane Dufresne, at the height of her enormous talent.

The program included a selection of works by Luc Plamondon, Kurt Weill, Serge Gainsbourg, Michel Tremblay, Daniel Bélanger and some new songs from Diane’s upcoming record.
