2005 Benefit Show...
The 2005 fundraising event to benefit the Marie-Vincent Foundation was held on June 9, 2005 under the honorary presidency of Serge Godin, chairman and chief executive officer of CGI. Thanks to his support and the ongoing efforts of all board members, governors and honorary patrons, the Foundation raised $850,000 over the course of this event. It now stands as one of the most important fundraising efforts in the institution’s history.
Directed by Professor Trevor W. Payne, the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir presented an uplifting performance, greatly appreciated by the audience.
In videocast messages, Céline Dion and Prime Minister Jean Charest paid tribute to the Marie-Vincent Foundation by underlining the founder’s exceptional work. Indeed, for 30 years the Foundation has been working toward the prevention of child maltreatment and assisting young victims of abuse or violence.
In appreciation of his generous contribution, the Marie-Vincent Foundation presented Serge Godin with a work by artist Bernard Séguin Poirier.
Our heartfelt thanks to our generous donors!
