2000 Benefit Show...
The Marie-Vincent Foundation’s annual fund-raising concert was held on Monday 8 May 2000 at the Monument National. This concert starring the artist Isabelle Boulay turned out to be a tremendous success. Before the artist came on stage, the following dignitaries each, in turn, stepped up to greet a full house: Mr. François Morency, emcee, comedian, and spokesman for the Foundation; Mr. Jean Saint-Onge, Partner, Lavery, de Billy and President of the Foundation; Mr. Gilles Labbé, President and CEO, Héroux Inc. and Honourary President of the event; Mr. Claude Chagnon, President and CEO of Groupe Vidéotron Ltd. and partner in the event; and Mr. François Legault, Ministre d’État à l’Éducation et à la Jeunesse.
With this event, the Foundation succeeded in raising $110,000, owing to the steadfast response given by sponsors and donors to the appeal made by the Foundation and the event’s honourary president, Mr. Gilles Labbé. During the year, this money will be invested in programs designed to prevent and treat cases of abuse against children.
