A $445,000 donation from the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids helps many children who are victims of sexual abuse.
Montreal, Thursday, June 12, 2008 – The Maison Huguette-Bertrand, acquired through a sizeable donation from the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids (MREFK), was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by numerous partners and collaborators. Located in Montreal, the Maison Huguette-Bertrand houses the offices of the Marie-Vincent Foundation, as well as the Marie-Vincent Interuniversity Chair and the Centre d’expertise, which help children who are victims of sexual abuse.
“This donation is the result of a special collaboration between several Montreal-based real estate firms, whose concerted efforts yielded an impressive sum,” highlighted Me Renée Vézina, President of the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids. “We can see now that the quality and scope of services offered to children, made possible by these new facilities, will certainly help us achieve our objective: helping young people in need.”
“We are extremely grateful for the generous donation we received from the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids, the largest in our entire history,” said Me Jean Saint-Onge, President of the Boards of Directors of the Marie-Vincent Foundation and the Centre d’expertise Marie-Vincent. “By acquiring the Maison Huguette-Bertrand, we will be able to keep developing our activities and services with all our teams operating under the same roof, which is key in maximizing collaboration.”
