General objectives...

The general objectives of the Marie-Vincent Interuniversity Chair on child sexual abuse are to:

Increase knowledge in the interest of assisting Centre workers in their efforts to develop specialized services offered to young victims and their families.
Aim for continual improvement of the quality of services offered, to ensure the evolution of practices and development of advanced knowledge. In particular, the Chair ensures that the Centre is equipped with specialized tools, practice guides and intervention protocols.
Disseminate research results on the nature and consequences of sexual abuse, assessment of specialized services offered by the Centre and their impact on children.
Educate a high-level new workforce benefiting from an exceptional research circle through close relations with the Centre and its services.
Allow the Centre to exercise leadership in the development of Quebec-oriented specialized services.
