Improving the welfare of young victims and their family members is the core of the Centre's mission, which is to develop leading expertise in sexual abuse issues while combining medical, psychosocial, police and judiciary services with information gleaned from research.
The Centre d’expertise en agression sexuelle Marie-Vincent was established to:
- Increase the number of appropriate professional resources.
- Develop specialized therapeutic services.Increase accessibility and effectiveness of services offered.
- Increase accessibility and effectiveness of services offered.
- Assemble in one place all the services that sexual abuse victims and their families may need.
- Work to ensure that sexual abuse victims can receive services designed for their needs throughout Québec.
