Since 1975, the Marie-Vincent Foundation has been helping Québec children under 12 who are victims of maltreatment and more specifically, of sexual aggression.
In response to pressing needs, the Centre d’expertise en agression sexuelle Marie-Vincent was created in 2005 and represents a major investment for the Foundation. Its vision is that all Québec children who are victims of sexual abuse receive specialized services designed to meet their needs. The Centre’s core mission is to offer cutting edge services, treatments and tools to child victims and their families. As such, the Centre is developing a leading expertise and professional skills, while furthering the integration and dissemination of research through the Marie-Vincent Interuniversity Chair on sexual abuse toward children. In addition, the Centre is a training pillar for workers and students, asserting itself as an innovative leader in the development of scientific information in the field.
