EligibilitySince 1997, the Marie-Vincent Prize has been awarded to a person or a non-profit organization for its outstanding achievement in the prevention and treatment of children under 12 who have been victims of mistreatment. In keeping with the mission of the Foundation, the Marie-Vincent Prize was created to recognize and reward a deserving action or work that distinguishes itself through concrete benefits, either social or community, reflected by a high degree of initiative, creativity or performance, that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and understanding in the field of mistreatment. This prize is awarded for a meritorious action or endeavor. It comes with a $7,500 grant and an original work by the painter-enamellist, Bernard Séguin-Poirier. Winners of the Marie-Vincent Prize benefit from increased visibility and notoriety, notably from the Foundation, which will promote the winner’s activities and realizations in the media, on its website and in the Foundation’s newsletter. The Marie-Vincent Prize is open to any person or group of persons, or any non-profit organization operating in Québec, that develops a project to help counter the mistreatment of children. There is a limit of one candidature per organization. Winners of the Marie-Vincent Prize must wait three years before submitting a new project for consideration. Members of the Marie-Vincent Foundation board of directors, members of the jury, and any of their family members may not apply. Candidacy submissions must be received by September 14th, 2009 |
