Honorary President,2010 Fundraising Campaign
It is with great pleasure that I have accepted to be Honorary President for the 2010 Annual Campaign. The Marie-Vincent Foundation has been, for 35 years, creating awareness amongst the Québec population concerning child maltreatment and its devastating effects. The Foundation significantly supports the Centre d’expertise Marie-Vincent and the Chaire interuniversitaire Marie-Vincent. It also provides financial help to different organisations throughout the community that offer prevention programs and treatment. I call upon my fellow businesswomen and businessmen: let’s gather and make a positive contribution to help better the future of children victim of maltreatment. With the collaboration of our Patrons we count on attaining our 2010 goal. The 2010 Annual Campaign aims to reach its 1 million dollar goal.
Executive Vice President and Chief financial Officer, RONA Inc. After having served one of the most renowned accounting and consulting firms as Auditor, Special Project Manager and Team Manager, he joined RONA in 1986 as Financial Analyst in charge of special projects. In 1991, he became Corporate Controller and in 1999 he was appointed Vice President Finance and Administration for the Management Team. In 2001, he was nominated Executive Vice President and Chief financial Officer, RONA. Instigator of the first public appeal for savings, he acts as leader of all major acquisitions for RONA and is also in charge of all the real estate development throughout Canada. Claude is not only a member of l’Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec but is also very involved in his profession. Claude Guévin has been committed to the Marie-Vincent Foundation for many years. . |
